Madison Avenue contains a wonderful collection of late nineteenth and early twentieth century Toronto architecture, including the first Annex style house designed by E.J. Lennox, and several other examples of the style. As well there are houses by architects Eden Smith, Hamilton Townsend, Langley and Langley, Edmund Burke, Frederick H. Herbert as well as several other less well known architects. Following an LPAT appeal, the plan has been adopted by the City of Toronto.
