This kitchen additions and alterations is for a couple, one a government lawyer, the other a teacher who wanted their kitchen to fit them, to have personality. We spent a lot of time thinking about it, trying different approaches and the final design is very close to the first sketch. Opening the roof to expose the old collar ties and give height, and two small additions a bay window and a side bay let the space out enough to work in an island. The cabinets were reclaimed from the Hamilton Re-Store, the stained glass was found, and the windows custom made by Webwood Windows in Elora. The door that separates the room from the dining room was reclaimed and had blue glass installed to match the linoleum floor. The pics were taken by the owner as they made their first dinner for family Christmas 2022. As the owner said " We picked the worst possible time to do a renovation, thru COVID, but now that it is done, we wouldn't change a thing."
